Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how 234 Studio AS (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use 234 Native: the website at 234native.com and the 234 Native app for iPhone (together, the “Service”).
234 Studio AS is the data controller for your personal information. It’s a Norwegian company with organization number 938 399 417.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
When you sign in, we receive your email address from the sign-in method you use: an email link, Google, Microsoft, or Sign in with Apple. Google, Microsoft and Apple also give us your name, and Google gives us your profile photo. If you hide your email address with Sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple relay address instead, and you can add a contact email in your account settings. You can also add or change your name, profile photo and country.
Content you add
We store the bookmarks, votes on upcoming articles and article suggestions you add.
If you turn on Show on credits page, your name, profile photo, country and the date you joined are shown publicly on the credits page. It’s off until you turn it on.
Usage data
When you’re signed in, we record which pages and articles you view, linked to your account. We use this to see which articles are read and to decide what to write next. We also use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which count visits and measure page speed without cookies and without identifying you.
AI search
When you use AI search or ask for an AI prompt, the questions you type are sent to Anthropic to generate an answer. We don’t send your name or email address with them, and we don’t store the conversations.
AI tools connected to 234 Native
If you connect an AI tool to 234 Native through our MCP server, we store the keys for that connection and log each request: which tool was used, which article it asked for, and when. The log is linked to your account so that we can apply usage limits and stop misuse.
Teams and referrals
If you join a team, the team’s admins can see your name, email address and profile photo. If someone signs up with your referral link, we record that so we can credit your account.
Payment information
When you first sign in, we create a customer record for you at Stripe with your name and email address, so that you can subscribe later. If you subscribe, Stripe processes the payment. We never see or store your card details — they are processed and stored by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy.
The iPhone app
The app uses the same account as the website. It keeps you signed in by storing a sign-in token in the iOS Keychain on your device, and it shows the website’s articles, so everything above applies in the app too.
The app also sends anonymous usage statistics to TelemetryDeck: which pages in the app are opened, whether a page’s code or article is opened, whether the app was opened from a link, and whether you signed in with Google or Apple. They include technical details such as the app and iOS version, the device model, language, region and accessibility settings like text size. They aren’t linked to your account: the app never sends your name, email address or account, and it counts devices with an identifier that is turned into a one-way hash on your device before it’s sent. The app contains no advertising code, doesn’t use the advertising identifier and doesn’t track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Some pages in the app ask for access to things like your camera, location, contacts or Health data, only to show what the system’s permission dialog looks like. The app doesn’t read, store or send any of that data, and nothing changes if you say no.
If you test the app through TestFlight, Apple shares with us the feedback and screenshots you send, crash reports, and the name and email address on your TestFlight invitation.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the Service and your account, and manage your subscription
- Send emails about your account, such as sign-in links and billing confirmations
- Understand which articles are read and improve the Service
- Keep the Service secure and prevent misuse, including usage limits for AI tools
- Show you on the credits page, if you turn it on
- Keep the accounting records the law requires
- Respond to support requests
We process your information because it’s needed to provide the Service you signed up for, because we have a legitimate interest in improving and protecting the Service, because the law requires it (accounting), or because you’ve agreed to it (the credits page).
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we don’t use it for advertising. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
4. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and your browser stores your preferences (such as theme settings). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking, and the iPhone app doesn’t track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
5. Data Sharing
These service providers process your information on our behalf:
- Supabase — sign-in, database and file storage
- Vercel — hosting, Web Analytics and Speed Insights
- TelemetryDeck — anonymous usage statistics in the iPhone app
- Stripe — payments and customer records
- Anthropic — answers in AI search
- Resend — sending email
They are bound by data processing agreements and their own privacy policies. If you sign in with Google, Microsoft or Apple, their privacy policies also apply to that sign-in.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. This includes encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, it is deactivated at once, and you have 30 days to change your mind by signing in again. After that we permanently delete your profile and everything linked to it, such as bookmarks, page views and AI tool logs, and your customer record at Stripe. Payment records are kept for as long as Norwegian accounting law requires. Usage statistics from the iPhone app aren’t linked to your account, so they aren’t part of what we delete.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent, for example by turning off the credits page
You can manage most of these rights directly through your account settings. For additional requests, contact us at support@234native.com. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or the data protection authority where you live.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, where some of our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international transfers of personal data, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
12. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your personal data, contact 234 Studio AS at support@234native.com.
